My name is Derrick Engoy and I’m married to the beautiful and talented Marissa. We have three crazy-fantastic boys; Ezra (12), Cyrus (9) and Jude (6).

I currently serve as our lead pastor and I’ve been a part of The Branch since its inception. I love the winter season because it gets a little bit colder…well…by Southern California standards at least. It cools down enough for me to layer up my clothes and enough for me to dust off the jackets I love wearing. It’s even a bonus for me when we get our rare rainy days. I love Long Beach because of its diversity. From the variety of cultures to differences in socioeconomic status, I love being able to do life with folks in our city. The diversity creates amazing opportunities to learn about people and paves the way for a deeper appreciation for others.

My name is Michelle Buck. I am married to Rick Buck. We have been married for more than 30 years. We have two adult sons and one daughter-in-law. I am currently our church's assistant pastor and have been with The Branch since the beginning. There is something that I enjoy about every season, but I think Spring would be my choice for favorite. The blue skies, flowers beginning to bloom, and the sense of renewal are just some of the reasons I would say Spring is my favorite season. Plus, time springs forward so I feel like there is more daylight to enjoy. Both sets of my grandparents, my parents and myself call Long Beach home. I loved growing up in the same city as all my relatives, and I have a lot. Not only do I have my memories, but I especially love hearing all their stories about this city long before I was ever born. The Pike, The Plunge, Lincoln Park...how downtown use to be with all the stores and decorations. So much history they have to share. I have deep ties to this city.

My name is Christopher Dickey. I am the youth pastor here at The Branch. Having been raised a PK (pastor's kid) in SoCal, I am excited to be a part of this vibrant church and loving community. I am a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and Christ For The Nations Institute (Dallas, TX) and hope to bring a global perspective to the local church. As far as my favorite season is concerned, that’s a tough one. I’d have to say Spring, because it’s not too hot and not too cold. All you need is a light jacket. Long Beach is one of my favorite cities and I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for our church.

My name is Sylvia Jimenez. I am the Children’s Ministry Director. I’ve been a member of The Branch since April 2017. I am privileged to work under two amazing pastors, Derrick and Michelle. I was co-director if the Children’s Ministry at my previous church of 10 plus years and saw many children grow to be Godly young men and women. My heart has always been to teach and to bring the children (especially young girls) closer to God. I’m looking forward to helping all of our kids realize the importance of walking with the Lord and having the word of God planted in their heart. We have a wonderful team of God loving teachers excited to serve you, the parents, and to teach, pray, and love your children. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

We are our family's Worship Team Ministry. We love God. We love our church family. And we love ushering folks into musical expressions of worship. Our goal is to continually use our gifts and artistic talents to help others explore ways to connect with God on a daily basis. Not only do we musically lead worship during our church services, but we also aspire to explore ways of sharing our art outside of our church gatherings. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!!!

We are The Branch's Hospitality Team; which consists of our Welcome Team, Kitchen Crew, and Ushers/Greeters. It is our humbled honor and privilege to serve you every single Sunday with our award winning smiles and love. We're here to make sure all of your questions regarding our Sunday Gatherings and church life are answered each week. Our goal is to make you feel right at home and to welcome you into a place of belonging. In addition, we're here to make sure your stomachs are filled with delightful morning treats and a hot cup of our very own Branch Roast from

Slow Bar Coffee. We also provide a hot lunch every single week.

See you this Sunday!!!
